The   Furudal  waterfall  or  a canoe expedition on the river Rokta.

Canoe and kayak expeditions

The river Ogna runs calmly through  10 km  of  cultural landscape,  just  on  the doorstep  of  Ognes.
A guided tour of the Store Gaulstad cave or the Jettegryte cave is an aweinspiring  experience. There are several additional caves,  but  they  are  more demanding, e.g. the Barkebille cave.

Fishing
Salmon fishing is stoped until the year  2005, because   handle to stop  salmon-parasite gyrodactyles salaris,
but we can offer a  good possibility for fishing after that time.

Trout fishing in the river is free, and the same applies to most  of  the freshwater lakes in the Ogndal valley.

Hunting
Ognes  has  hosted  moose hunters  for  many  years. The hunters staying  at  the farm are allowed to  hunt 18 moose every year, this in  a valley  with  one  of  the biggest moose populations in Norway. Fowl-  and  hare hunting in the big forests is open to everyone.
